Ashy Bines Asks for Personal Information on Public Page

Original post can be found here.

Throughout the end of last week, Ashy Bines public Facebook page for her Bikini Body challenge franchise has been asking for personal information for her followers to sign up on a new 12 week Ashy Bines Fitspo Challenge
One of the posts (A pinned one to say the least!) asks for followers to post their own personal phone numbers in the comments below OR message the page (For privacy reasons, we will not post a screenshot of the comments in that post as it contains vulnerable women who have commented with their phone numbers).

This is a huge security risk. The internet is accessible for all sorts of people from around the world. We don’t know who is behind the screen and what their intentions are. To encourage your own followers to post their personal contact numbers publicly is highly unprofessional.

Ironically, Ashy Bines posted on her verified Facebook page in regards to Ashley Madison’s case of being hacked.
The vulnerable women who have posted their personal contact numbers on ABBBC’s page are prone to being “hacked” or stalked or many other worst case scenarios. A lot of online platforms use your phone number nowadays for methods to recover your account (Facebook, Email, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).

The Fitspo Challenge

Ashy Bines and her team have always been known for their shady business practices. A $1 “sign up fee” which many women do not realize that you will be charged at the end of a time period for the full price of that product.
This clearly shows that ABBBC is only in it for the money, but unfortunately, many of Ashy’s followers let things slide and allow her to continue these business practices, defending her without a rational reason.

The countdown timer on Ashy’s Fitspo page, we can assure you that it isn’t legit. Last year, during desperate measures of saving her Clean Eating Diet Plan product (Facebook page banned, posts getting removed, bad publicity, etc.), Ashy Bines released a promotional offer link that spread around her Facebook pages and Instagram. It wasn’t real at all. Proven by the internet way back machine, it has been at 30 for weeks and Ashy Bines continues to advertise on her Instagram pages that there are only a few left, spots are running out.

Please note that the Instagram page @LoseWeightHere has been removed as it violated Instagram’s terms of “spamming/scamming”.

A similar pattern is being noticed here on Ashy’s new 12-week program. The timer increases on its own and you get different spots left when visiting from a different browser.

One of them didn’t even work properly.

No one really knows how many spots have run out. If you refresh the page, it goes all the way back to the same number the first time you visited the page.

Edge (The New Internet Explorer for Windows 10) ~ Countdown timer was dodgy.

Opera

Mozilla Firefox

Google Chrome

Another similar pattern is noticed with Ashy’s previous promotional offer that came with a tremendous amount of payment. That issue will be followed up in a different article, stay tuned!

This page strongly advises that you should be careful about spending money on a product labeled with Ashy Bines or ABBBC.

We Don’t See Any Ashy Bines Types Here, That’s For Sure

Original post can be found here.

In reply to the GCB article: http://goldcoastbulletin.com.au/lifestyle/gold-coast-diet-queens-battle-it-out/story-fnj94iqm-1227299283532

Ashy Bines quotes “and battling it out? i think the MORE people in the industry for the right reasons helping our society the BETTER. Im not competing against anyone, im here to help whoever wants my help”

Yes Ashy is right, the more fitness professionals in the industry who help the public with their health and wellbeing the better. However there is one thing Ashy is missing, and that is being completely honest in her business, including doing the right things and taking responsibility .

Ashy: “Im not competing against anyone, im here to help whoever wants my help”.

Ashy admitted (only late last month) that she is ‘a very competitive person’ on her Facebook business page. See attached Images.

Regarding Emily Skye and Ashy….

If anyone really looks up the differences between Ashy Bines and Emily Skye, you will find that they are different in the types of business they run, and what they provide to their paying customers.

It should be cleared up that Emily Skye does not and has never worked for or with Ashy Bines, this also includes never being involved with or working apart of ABBBC. One of the businesses that Emily runs is a 28 Day shred program with Ashy’s husband Steven Evans. As we have seen in recent newspapers Emily is currently suing Mr Evans for failing to efficiently market her program, and funnelling money into his other business. You will find these articles online regarding Miss Skye suing Steven.

Ashy Bines Admits To Plagiarism – Media Coverage

One thing Ashy Bines should remember through CERT III in fitness is that you are told over and over again to be over cautious in the content you release, ensuring it is not copied from other sources.
You are educated to understand that if you like another persons work and you wish to you use it, you are to gain consent or you alter it to your clients suitability. When Ashy plagiarised she failed to do this, that is not naive that is out right stealing.

For those who ‘do not care’ that Ashy has plagiarised that is ok, but what is not ok is the abusive responses they come back with to those that are upset and let down. $69.95 may be pocket money to the people who don’t care, but it may be a tank of fuel, bread and milk to another person. Also, the people who feel let down would have rather given their well earned money to an original fitness guru, who is honest and ethical. If you wrote a book and/or came up with your own work and someone blatantly stole it (word for word) you would not be so happy, especially when permission was not given. We understand that there are many professionals in all range of fields who have similarities, but the difference is that they changed it to their client base and to their liking, unlike Ashy.

QUOTE:
“In a series of text messages to the Gold Coast Bulletin yesterday, Ms Bines said she did not want to speak about the plagiarism beyond what was in her video as it would “bring the haters out”.”

Yes, there are haters no one denies that. However, what Ashy is misunderstanding is the haters (who post terrible statements) VS unsatisfied and upset (paying) customers.

This pages does not condone any form of bullying. It’s ok to vent but there is a line, and if our followers cross that line the posts will be removed from the page. Bullying is not tolerated.

The abusive content quoted from the news agent are from Ashy Bines Instagram page, they are not from this page.

Furthermore the blog the news outlet discloses is from a website that further exposes the truth of Ashy Bines.

The people who run this page and majority of the followers are not haters, as stated we are people who want justice, and who are disgruntled at feeling cheated. It is not fair in what Ashy has done, charging people for stolen content, the way she speaks to her followers to blaming others for her wrong doing.

Regarding the actual haters against Ashy personally, whilst it is not at all ok and in no way do we accept what they say, please be reminded that Ashy herself is a bully to her followers and/or people who make comments on her instagram page. We have articles called ‘Ashy Bines Talks To Her Followers’, which shows how she speaks to people. Ashy is very defensive and responds before she thinks about what she is going to post. It is also known that Ashy’s friends come on her instagram page and further bullies people who are not ‘pro-ashy’ and/or question her. It has also been sighted that someone can ask Ashy a simple question, however an Ashy fan pipes up with a not so nice comment, to which Ashy congratulates them for their nasty reply. Do not be fooled, you can easily scroll through Ashy’s instagram posts to see her unprofessional, nasty and unhelpful comments. Why does Ashy not do what every other well known professional does when they receive nasty comments, be the better person and do not respond. Yes, no one should tolerate abuse or bullying, however if you can not respond with maturity and professionalism do not respond at all, and focus on those that support you. In saying this, when someone questions Ashy about her programs, her lifestyle, appearance and it is NOT bulling (just a question) she can respond nicely, not how she does majority of the time which is school yard bullying.

We appreciate all our followers and those who help spread the awareness of this disgraced business. We accept responses in regards to Ashy’s business ethics and the business itself, however any personal attacks to Ashy will be removed.

Ashy Bines 7 Day Kick Start Program – Another Attempt in Gaining Quick Bucks

Original post can be found here.

Ashy Bines and no doubt, husband Steven Evans, the internet marketing brains behind her brand have just released: “ASHY’S 7 DAY KICKSTART PROGRAM”
This very deliberately low priced teaser program is another unethical, sneaky attempt to lure in more innocent Ashy followers and leave them feeling the need to buy more!
This program has been released only days after she has said (direct quote): “I happen to like helping people…if I can suggest ways for people to stay healthy, I don’t need to be paid for that, I genuinely like helping”. Yet, this program is asking women to pay for NOTHING MORE than a glorified “day in the life of Ashy Bines”.
Putting the money grab plan aside, this 7 Day Kickstart Program is also a totally irresponsible approach to health, fitness and wellbeing!

It promotes a “quick fix” mentality as opposed to a healthy long term plan and it’s appalling that she promotes (below) a 7 Day Program as a perfect way to counteract a “binge weekend”!
Is there anything that this pair won’t charge for???

Ashy Bines Admits to Selling Plagiarized Recipes

Ashy Bines admits to selling plagiarized recipes then announces she will be selling a new E-Book with no word on refunds or compensation to customers or the authors of the original recipes.

A video has recently come to our attention, which can be viewed here:

In this video Ashy Bines states:

“As a business woman I often outsource projects to experts..” “Unfortunately I may have been too naive to think that I wouldn’t have to check the origins of each recipe, instead trusting that the work would be completed in a honest and professional manner. It’s recently come to my attention that these recipes were not originals at all and have been copied from other sources. This was never my intention and it sucks that these things can happen.”

Ashy then goes on to say:

“But, moving forward, I’ve been working with my dear friend Cory to give you recipes for your optimal health and to get you feeling and looking your best. My friend Cory’s been a chef for over 14 years, he has created these all by himself with me taste testing and tweaking to make sure they are all clean and yummy for you.”

This next part is what we take issue with and find completely outrageous:

“We are now working on another E-Book you will be able to purchase separately filled with approximately 50 recipes..”

No where in this video does Ashy offer to correct her mistake of selling plagiarised material. She does not offer refunds, compensation to the recipe creators nor just she state that she will be updating the current E-Books she has sold and continues to sell with new material that isn’t plagiarised.

Instead she plans on SELLING a whole new E-Book.

Ashy clearly states in this video that she has sold plagiarised material. Is that not fair grounds to ask for a refund?

Have you signed our petition yet? It only takes a few seconds!

Ashy Bines Re-cap, Plus Guidelines FREE!

Just a re-cap of the activities her business undertakes, and items she is selling to vulnerable, gullible women.
  • Committed tax fraud
  • Plagiarism (she doesn't even edit out the source of where she copied and pasted from)
  • Has broken Australian Consumer laws
  • False advertising
  • Encourages bullying towards those that question her or her business
  • Not qualified to be selling these types of products, and is breaking the law by charging for it
  • Not qualified to be giving dietary advice
  • Business partner, and fiancĂ©, Steven Evans, stalks, harasses and threatens women
  • Steven Evans has previously put a $5,000 bounty on the head of an unknown person (at the time) towards ABBBC customers for the identity of the person who was giving away all of the company secrets
  • Has threatened legal action against those who have downloaded their "plan" from free hosting websites, and those who have posted images of said "plan," for Plagiarism
  • Has admitted to getting death threats and being harassed, but no report was filed with police, and there is no proof it has even occurred
  • Finds time to respond to the "haters," yet can't find the time to address customer complaints

A Current Affair story on Ashy Bines

DON'T FORGET!

You can download the entire plan >for FREE!
I can assure you, that it is not worth the $69 advertised price (excludes hidden GST, and is illegal advertising), but I wish you all to make your own judgments and see for yourself. Leave a comment or reply here below, if you wish to leave any feedback. You can also have a look at one of my latest blogs, which goes into more depth and detail. Feel free to leave feedback there as well, if you wish to.

Editors note: All comments not relating to the topic of this entry, or are hatefully directed towards myself, or to moderators, will be removed, no questions asked. The amount of negativity from catty women has been a drain, and I could care less about your petty shit. This blog is to inform the public, and help them make their own decision regarding the plan, not to feed your ego or make you feel good about thinking you're winning the argument. How childish.

I have nothing against the boot camps. Not once in any blog have I expressed any concern towards that aspect of the ABBBC business, so could you please stop putting words in my mouth.

Post Pregnancy Transformation Program by the ABBBC

ABBBC PTY LTD is at it again, this time with a Post Pregnancy Transformation Program, including an insane price of $77 AUD.
This program seems to  include all of the following;
  • Zero support from the ABBBC PTY LTD company (once again). It seems the only support is from other customers.
  • An obvious money making scheme.
  • It seems not to be created by qualified professionals. The don't list who helped compile the information on any of their websites and pages.
If you are a new mother, or even expecting, I suggest steering clear of anything with near impossible promises and a high price.

For free info on post pregnancy weight loss, follow this link. Their Medical Advisory Board members are listed here, if you wish to research them.

Alternatively, this search through Google includes several websites that give you free information,

or you can speak to your local Doctor, or a qualified Dietitian.

Clean Eating Diet Plan Facebook Page Out of Action

The Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan page is reportedly missing. This has been the third or fourth time this has happened. This comes after their Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge Facebook page was removed some time in the last few weeks.

Facebook also does not allow you to link their Clean Eating Diet Plan Facebook page anywhere as it is considered as “unsafe”.

Will they reveal as to why they have disappeared? Or will they cover it up again like we've seen in the past?

Update: It would seem that their pages are in fact being removed for purchasing Facebook likes

Ashy Bines Stealing Images Again?

In this latest update, it seems Ashy is still at the image stealing. The story is mostly correct for her journey, but using it on her page with a link to her diet plan is rather misleading.

The post in question, along with Megan's response:

A image taken from Megan's Profile Pictures folder.

Ashy Bines Using Strong Is The New Skinny Slogan For Personal Gain, Again.

You would think that the ABBBC camp would have learned their lesson the first time, when they printed Strong Is The New Skinny on their tees and singlets, but alas, they have not.

In the latest money grub by Ashy Bines and Steven Evans, they've created another Facebook page, this time, titled "Strong Is The New Skinny," and have plastered her products all over it.

The creators of Strong Is The New Skinny, and, the ones who originally trademarked it, have been notified AGAIN.

I see lawsuits coming in the future.
Singlets that were in circulation last year, which, "miraculously," were no longer advertised or sold after complaints were made to Marsha Christensen.

New Website For ABBBC Waste Of $

As an active blogger, and moderator of some of our Facebook pages, I've decided to create a website for our cause, to spread awareness across all levels.

You can find our new website,

here.

ABBBC Reporting Posts in Breach of T' & C's of Facebook - Hiding Something?

Posted Friday, 15 March 2013, by  Anne O'Loughlin, here.

It seems that some directors, namely Steven Evans, is fiddling whilst Rome is burning. Everything we have done on our page has been legal, and focused on breaches of consumer laws. We were vindicated by the ruling from OFT, and we continue to advocate for our community.

Rather than, after pleading for 12 months for their companies' to change their business model and work toward giving themselves a better name, they continue to attempt to sabotage our community.

We are not breaching Facebook Copyright laws.

We are no longer able to advertise.

We are constantly being reported as are our posts.

Anything to cover up the truth right?

WE DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE REMOVAL OF THE ABBBC PAGE. That is something we have no knowledge of until it occurred we simply followed the instructions given to us by the Office of Fair Trading..... read their letter.

Note, Post made by Ashy Bines which are public posts and some of which we use as our headers are all being reported as our accounts.

We have done nothing illegal, rather protecting clean eaters around the world who are committed to it, and who are entitled to receive what they paid for, and not be mislead habitually.

We concceed there has been improvements as of December 2012, but yet we have managed to find so many further breaches which are duly reported as they should be to the relevant bodies.

This page for those who do not understand or have a legitimate question is not about '[diets]'. We all know clean eating works, it is a lifestyle choice and we support it. What we object to is sabotage, stalking, breaches of consumer legislation, some false testimonials, and the lack of customer service.

There were 2500 reports made to facebook with hundreds of screenshots proving the former ABBBC page had breached TOC's of Facebook and buying likes. In fact we found the multiple companies used by Steven Evans to purchase those likes and were able to link them to facebook investigators.

Ashy Bines Brand, is diminishing the reputation of hard working PT's and other businesses by the conduct in which they have engaged in.

We will blog soon about our complaints once they have been dealt with, we cannot do so until the time comes, as it usurps the investigative bodies rights to run their investigation with unfeterred interruption and without interference from social media.

Here are some examples of the public posts which ABBBC posted and then reported when we used them on our page.

We invite Steven Evans Director to draw a contract up which we will sign stating that he will refund all unhappy customers post ruling via OFT, and further provide contractual guarantees not to engage in misleading and deceptive conduct. Once that is done this page will be unpublished.

To the Gracious Pantry who inspire so many, thank you for your dedication to clean eaters around the world. Tiffany you are a giant amongst women and your work is a credit to you.

Mr Evans by contrast, why waste your time attacking, reporting and sabotaging our posts , do you
have an issue with the truth? What a waste of precious time and resources better spent on your business.

Reported Posts (only examples there are 30 of them altogether) - The irony is that ABBBC use other peoples information all the time, steal recipes and attribute them to their own business, including testimonials and photos. So we cannot advertise our page any more, at the very least we earned out likes.

Kind Regards
Anne

Ashy Bines Found To Have Breached OFT Legislation By OFT Queensland

Originally posted Wednesday, 16 January 2013, by Anne O'Loughlin, here.

We are going to publish the response to our long complaint to OFT on behalf of the thousands of community members.

You will note we have been referred to other agencies which we will follow up this week with the evidence we have collected.

Whilst Mr. Evans Director, commented on our page to the contrary, stating they have never breached consumer laws, they have in fact been found to have breached the relevant provisions and moreover this has necessitated the involvement of Compliance to force their company to make substantial changes in order to comply with the law.

Up to 5 December 2012, ABBBC Pty Ltd has conducted its business in breach of OFT Legislation and ACL Legislation, therefore unlawfully.

We cannot obtain individual refunds for people, but we were able to provide you with a voice and to effect change to protect new consumers in the future. Please feel free to make your complaints personally in order to get a directive for you to obtain a refund in accordance with your entitlements at law.

I have no doubt that ABBBC Pty Ltd count on the fact that even if directed, their refusal to comply will stop a consumer from taking the final step in the litigation process, which is to use the Small Claims Tribunal System, this is why I have systematically labelled their business one of the best con's to date, because they traded in breach of the law, and the price is factored to be in the lower range to deter people from taking action and enforcing their legal rights.

That is what they count on.

Here is the response, and obviously we have more bodies to contact, although we have a surprise coming for our readers about another complaint which we cannot reveal until the investigation is complete so as to protect the integrity of the investigation by the relevant body.

For all of those who agitated and alleged we were a hate page with an unfounded basis for our community you have just been proven wrong. It was never personal, it was about a company failing to conduct itself without the constraints of enshrined legislation. It has nothing to do with weight loss it is about corporate integrity which so far has eluded both Mr Evans and Ms Bines.

Please note I did not disclose my personal address so as not give Mr Evans the opportunity to subpoena the file under Freedom of Information, as I did not want him to have the opportunity to stalk me as he did another complainant. I would encourage all members or consumers who have purchased prior to 5 December 2012, to make your complaints to OFT, obtain a ruling, and this page will provide advocacy for you so you can attend your states Small Claims Tribunal, including assistance in drafting your complaints, in order to get an Order for payment and costs against this business.

You are entitled to a refund. That is the reality.

New Diet Plan Lacks Credibility

A positive note for Ashy Bines, the new guidelines being distributed as of 24/10/2012 are a vast improvement to the previous ones which were simply lacking in substance and fell short of market credibility. (This includes the Cookbook).

What is wrong with the new guidelines and cookbook, more importantly the guidelines (still sold on the basis/name of a Diet Plan depending on which page you are on and which post you are reading).

In short:

  • Noticeably absent is the ABBBC sub-contractor and employed Nutrition For Life Accredited Dietitians from any endorsement of either of the Ebooks. Julie Masci, dietitian, has not endorsed nor put her name to the products.
  • Dan Nimmo is the only named person with the least impressive qualifications, when comparing him to Julie Masci, who endorses the product. One has to ask, given the friendship between ABBBC Director Steven Evans and Daniel Nimmo, is this an arms length bona fide endorsement? How much money has exchanged hands for the only named endorsement on the actual product?
  •  The use of pseudonyms to provide advice and endorsements is of no value whatsoever, in fact, they are misleading and could induce a customer to believe the product has credibility when in fact once we contacted the Nursing Federation, and Medical Boards, and we were advised that any endorsement would be acknowledged by the use of name, qualifications, particulars of experience including education, as per Daniel Nimmo's endorsement. Therefore the purported endorsement by the alleged Cardiologist, Nurse and Dermatologist is questionable and attempts to mask the apparent flaws contained in the Ebooks and should be disregarded as a furphy.
  • The Clean Eating Plan Video (Sales) contradicts the Guidelines/Diet Plan and in particular, in so far as the inconsistency with the use of supplements which is not congruent with Clean Eating per se.
  • The Dietitian Association advises that any diet plan which purports to provide health advice, meal plans, and the like must provide the following:-
(a) Nutritional Value(s) and facts for each snack, meal option suggestions, and
(b)Kilojoules and
(c) For example:- How the food will effect the body:-

Issues like what is the Glycemic Content, whether the meal is low carb/high in protein and its value to the body when eating that portion or size, it fails to advise why if at all you need nutritional supplements and in what circumstances, whether the meal or snack is heart healthy, low in fat, sugar content/artificial sweeteners contained in the supplement recommendations, omega 3 to omega 6 ration, sodium content, (you get the general idea) and how it effects your body?.

Sadly It still purports to provide the unfettered catch cry phase "lose weight fast guaranteed watch your waist shrink in just days" without taking into account:-

(a) The age group ranges,
(b) Possible medical and or mental health issues and how medication can effect the process of weight loss,
(c) To consult a medical practitioner prior to undertaking the diet plan to have your personal circumstances assessed in order to not feel disappointed should your results not be in line with the expected sales pitch.

There are of course a myriad of reasons why a diet will not deliver immediate guaranteed weight loss, why? Because nobody can provide that guarantee having regard to the factors hereinbefore stated. Therefore whilst there is a vast improvement in the size, colour and product presentation, it still falls short of what one would expect of a diet plan particularly when you can purchase a diet plan from Accredited Dietitians for as little as $19 and Clean Eating has been around for so long, there are hundreds of free resources on the internet which provide information of equal if not higher quality and which provide sensible advice and does not promise spectacular results, rather focused on the lifestyle change which will more likely than not lead to a healthier lifestyle but may not yield quick weight loss.

Finally, whilst we have exposed some of the negligent advice Ashy Bines PT and Director has provided on her forums, we note she has Australian qualifications as a PT yet she fails to provide advice on the guidelines preferring to obtain advice from two PT's from Sydney, who are friends, and whom one has a questionable financial background. Does that make the advice invalid? No, but it makes you question the cohesiveness of the Ebook and whether it offers value for money and why you would taint the product with a party which has a questionable public financial history.

Whilst Clean Eating is not a fad diet, in my opinion what Ashy Bines offers constitutes a fad diet having regard to the representations she makes via the Ebook/Product/Sales Video.

Further the lack of structure in including alternatives for the International Market, and using colloquialisms which are foreign to International Customers or options which are available in their own country, makes the product fall short of its International Promise to be universal.

The hero of the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Guidelines - is the Facebook forum. Women who help each other every single day with support and recipes which they share and variances to the guidelines, that is the only reason in my view why the business has survived for so long. They do not realise that it is not Ashy Bines providing the support, it is themselves, and they are the heroes of the whole project.

For example, here is a post on one of the new pages run by ABBBC, which show a picture of the guidelines for the international market, yet refers to it as a diet plan. It cannot be both.

In fact, on 6 November 2012, the page name was changed to Amazing Bikini Body Diet Transformations for what reason? It is unknown, save that there are complaints lodged with Scambook world wide perhaps? In my opinion, the name change is that they are desperately trying to sell their product under as many banners as possible, using social media in order to avoid legislation governing their conduct, with a total of 8 pages now running, selling the same product to different audiences under different titles, as confirmed by Mr Steven Evans, Director of ABBBC.

Who is Daniel Nimmo?

Please note:

Daniel Nimmo is regarded as an industry leader as a PT, see link. However there are allegations that he is friends with both Directors, Bines and Evans. Herein is the proof, and makes me question the credibility and/or objectiveness of Mr Nimmo’s when essentially he is the only name who underpins the whole diet plan.

Sydney Based Nurse Anonymous:

(Page 60 of the Guidelines)

The use of a pseudonym does not necessarily invalidate the value of the information, but it makes it worthless on the basis that it is not endorsed appropriately as previously highlighted.

Dermatologist Anonymous:

Page 56, same analogy applies.

Cardiologist Anonymous:

Notwithstanding that the purported advice is surprising given the education level, the standard of expression is not only surprising, it is not congruent with in my opinion, an experienced Cardiologist would speak, for example if he were referring to milk products as he does, and asserts he read some interesting information from the Heart Foundation, I submit he would have cited the article as doctors are experienced with writing information, they cite their references in order to not be held responsible for information they have disseminated which is not theirs. Nor is it a habit for a trained doctor especially a specialist to adopt the information from a third party source without full acknowledgement and quotation marks. That being said in my view one ought to have great difficulty believing that this information was in fact provided by a Cardiologist, and the fact that he will not qualify himself nor his practice, says a lot, and should force consumers to ask questions. It does not sound right, it does not feel right, then it is not credible in my view.

Sydney Based PT's who provide advice but do not endorse the products:

Please note I am not suggesting the advice is not appropriate nor competent. However, I find some of the background to be questionable when trying to sell a product and obtain market share, when you are seeking credibility, these issues (which are available publicly) make you question why one Ashy Bines PT did not provide the advice, and, two, why they would choose PT's who have had a colourful history?

Proof the PT's are friends, which may not be sinister in itself, more collaborative. However, I like to provide evidence for comments which I, and the advocacy page make.

We also note that ABBBC was listed on the NZ Scam Watch Page:-

Scam Watch NZ

In my opinion whilst the guidelines/diet plan has improved substantially from its three previous versions, given all the feedback and complaints from customers, which still to this day continue to roll in despite the changes to the current updated version, demonstrates that the product still falls short of the mark. It would have cost them very little overall, in time and expense, to have the plan assessed properly, by, say, Julie Masci, and remove any issues which may give the impression that the product has not evolved on a professional basis. Just because it is prettier to look at and has more content, does not make it a sustainable, nor a product which has intrinsic public value or market credibility.

Like I mentioned previously, but for the incredible dedication of the women on the forum who are simply members and who provide each other advice, recipes and support to each other without expense to the Ashy Bines Brand, ABBBC Clean Eating would have now died a slow death. They are the true heroes, and those who have left the ABBBC Clean Eating Group and moved to Sensible Clean Eaters, which is not only free, but offers incredible advice and support, then one simply has to ask - what are you paying for? In my view, nothing you cannot get yourself free of charge, as many ex customers have worked out for themselves, and, in fact improved the Facebook group model, which is more congruent. The new guidelines are also a platform for Ashy Bines Brand to further spruik her products, such as Tone, which is not an industry leader, and is definitely in opposition to the principals of Clean Eating.

The Story Behind the Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge Saga

Scroll down to "Diet Plan" to view or download.

Ashy Bines and Steven Evans began running Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge in 2011. It began with approximately 600 members, and has grown by over a few thousand.

The idea of the plan was to help women achieve the "perfect bikini body" by dieting and working out. Although there were those women who achieved results, there are also an equal, if not more, amount of ex-clients that are unhappy with the claims, service, the plan itself, and the emails received.

I would also like to add: the ex-clients/customers who are/were unhappy, are NOT simply complaining because they thought this was a quick fix, or because they couldn't stick to it. These reasons will be explained further in the blog.

This is not actually a book, nor is her "weekly booklet", a book, which is very misleading.

The plan is also advertised at certain amounts, and most customers don't know they have paid extra in GST until they receive their bank statements or Tax Invoices. You wont receive an actual receipt from Ashy or Steven, as they claim the Tax Invoice is the receipt, when it is not. The fact that they charge GST without adding it to the total advertised price, is illegal.

A claim by Ashy, Steven, or a staff member on the Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge Facebook page.

Two different customer's bank statement details. The account on the right has been charged GST, while the one on the left only paid the advertised price.

Half of her before, and afters are also taken without permission from other sites not associated with ABBBC. In fact, a Google search found that some of the images posted were of fitness models who aren't even based in Australia. One of the results was of Franchesca Hartman.

"The forum is full of nasty girls who are Ashys lap dogs. If you don't go with the conformity then your booted and put down. There's a cat fight every night because there are no admins on at night. It's a waste of money. It's very sad because this scamming woman is making a lot of money out of vulnerable girls. It's no wonder none of the original girls are on there."

"I joined the Facebook group for Ashy Bines and was intending to purchase the book but her horrendous spelling on status updates put me off. I know a couple of people who've done the 12 week programme twice and I can't say they look any different. What's wrong with eating fruit, veg, lean proteins and not as much carbs?"

"Ps whoever mentioned the 'cultness' of it all: I totally agree!"

I have put quite a bit of research into this topic, and after reading all of the comments and testimonials from a large chunk of women, I have to agree with all of the above. Nasty, catty, Ashy wannabes who tear people apart if they dare challenge anything or ask questions.

Plus, it's just a high protein, low fat low carb diet, nothing special or amazing, just common sense.

The other thing that put me off was that she claims her 'look' is 90% diet 10% exercise, when really that's untrue. She is a "fitness trainer" and she is burning huge amounts of calories.

I actually agree with the basis of the diet 100%. It's the cost, the revolting "we love you Ashy! Everyone's just haters!" members and the false claims she makes about how to achieve her look, which, as by her own admission, is partly plastic surgery.

I would certainly not recommend this "plan". I say "plan," because it is not actually a plan. It is a couple of .PDF documents filled with info copied and pasted from Google search results, except they have clearly added in plenty of spelling and grammar mistakes.

I was interested in reading the documents which I did find helpful to get me on my path to clean eating, however, the lifetime access to support from Ashy Bines is nothing more than a marketing scam to get you in the door, as I am one of many that have been kicked out of the "forum" that is supposed to give me the lifetime support. I have also had emails go unanswered.

Clearly, I paid $69 + GST for not even a few pieces of paper, for a FREE email and FREE Facebook group "forum."

Both Ashy's and Steven's qualifications are questionable. You can try and ask about them, but you will more than likely get kicked off of the forum and blocked from posting on the public page, though.

One would think, that to show everyone up about "having no qualifications," would be to upload a scanned copy of them, or at least quote the organisation in which you achieved those qualifications. But nothing of the sort has happened. Something to hide perhaps?? There is also evidence that neither of them have even finished their courses, so do not actually have completion certificates.

The "certificate" Ashy has flashed in her marketing video, isn't even real. When contacted, the institute confirmed that Ashy had not studied there, and that it was not an online course.

People have been given wrong advice, with breastfeeding and expectant mothers told the diet is fine for them, even when qualified specialists don't recommend it. Only recently have I seen a copy and pasted article posted on their page warning them that the diet is not for them. Perhaps they should have asked a doctor and nutritionist prior to selling this plan if it was suitable for mothers and mothers to be. This plan is also NOT recommended for those on medications, or, if you also purchase the supplements and protein shakes, for the lactose intolerant, with out some help from doctors and pharmacists.
Because she is telling people to "Google it" when asked questions, you have around 15,000-20,000 other girls that think they are professionals that add their own opinions, almost shoving them down your throat, because of that advice, which in almost half of the cases, is incorrect info. There is so much incorrect information that can result from a Google search, and Ashy Bines or her team are not there correcting and helping those with these questions regarding their health while on this plan.

For the Diet Plan, recipes and any other info you require, just send an email to:

freeamazingdietbodytransformationsdietplan@mail.com

and they'll be able to help you with anything you need.

  • No plan emailed, and no direction or instructions as to where to obtain it, just a link to a facebook group. Newer members may get an email with their personal log in details to a forum, where they are required to download the plan from there, rather than receiving it once the payment has been made.
  • When you finally figure out where to obtain the "plan," it's just a bunch of recipes put together by the forum members free of charge, and info straight off of the internet that has been plagiarized, and made to be Ashy's own recipes.
  • The facebook group/forum is not only not supportive but incredibly abusive. There is a lack of both support and advice from "professionals," and if you have any constructive criticism about the diet or the forum, or any advice on how to improve anything, you'll get shut down rudely, bullied, deleted off of the forum and blocked from everything without warning.
  • The refund policy is simply "no refunds," and apparently Ashy and Steven have the right to delete and block you without any warning, if you say anything that upsets her, or anything bad regarding their work ethics. Australian laws state that offering no refunds is illegal, and since Ashy and Steven's business began in Broadbeach, Queensland, they fall under Australian Laws, and are not exempt.
  • Ashy very rarely replies to any questions like she promises too. On the rare occasion that she does, she'll almost always say "google it babe."

Ashy and Steve only registered the Business 19th April 2012, so any transactions they have made previous to this, they have not paid ANY TAX on at all. So all Profits have gone to them personally. Also, the Company is registered as an Australian Proprietary Limited Company. This means that the company has to have share holders, in this case, there are none, and can be sued or sue, gross operating revenue of less than $10 million for the financial year, assets of less than $5 million at the end of a financial year and fewer than 50 employees at the end of a financial year.

A quote from a concerned customer:

"Some facts that have been uncovered or discovered during my phone calls to my bank, Fair Trading Qld and the ACCC in the past two days:

  • Ashy Bines business/company/whatever it is, displays (visible only to my bank, not on my credit card statement) as "Sporting Goods Store"
  • Fair Trading advised that whenever entering into a purchase with any online business that you should ensure that you have their ABN, a phone contact and an actual business address, not just a website address.
  • I did not receive a Tax Invoice, including the GST from Ashy Bines which I should have received.
  • The Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan website is not an Australian based website as it is ".com" (I don't think this is in breach of anything, but it did alert Fair Trading to thinking that I was dealing with an overseas business, until I advised them that they were based here on the Gold Coast)
  • I have contacted the ACCC and outlined my issues/concerns with the business/company and the product sold to me. They have advised me that they are in breach of Section 18 and Section 48 (Component Pricing - where they have stated a single price, only then to charge a different price that included GST). The ACCC has today logged my complaint against this business and will be following through on that. Should they receive enough complaints, the investigation into this business will then be listed on their website (you will be able to search on their search bar on the main ACCC website if this is the case). The lady I spoke to was unable to tell me if they had received any other complaints against this business as all calls are understandably in complete confidence."

Almost half of ABBBC customers received payment details relating to We United, when they paid for Ashy Bines plan. We United is Steven Evans business and email name.

Her business partner and fiancé, Steven Evans, of Obesity Prevention Australia, and Donate Your Unwanted Fat To Charity fame, has stalked, harassed, and threatened former members. The ABBBC company claim to be taking legal action against the "haters," especially the woman who took the first steps in getting a refund and making a formal complaint, and to have them shut down, for "stealing copyrighted work," harassing, slander, and defamation of the Ashy Bines name, when their own work is plagiarised and not suited for everyone and has no warnings on certain health issues or who it is recommended for. Instead, for this information, Ashy simply states, "why didn't you do your research before purchasing!" And so will her followers, continued by personal attacks and name calling, before being blocked or ignored by staff.

One of Steven's threats was directed at a woman's child, there is one account of her "plan" being directly linked to another woman's miscarriage (as stated by qualified doctors and nurses), and another directly linked to a woman's life threatening heart condition and stomach inflammations (also stated by qualified doctors).
